New Home, New Hatred

So, I inadvertently moved to Alaska - land of the snow wench. This song describes my pain, sorrow, and outright annoyance. No one should have to live with Republicans. It's deplorable.

Sweet Home Alaska

Snow tires keep on turning
Carry me across the lanes as I skid
Sending prayers up to Jesus
I didn’t hit nobody when I slid
I’ll call that a win, yes

Well, I heard Mrs. Palin talk about her
I heard ol’ Sarah on NPR
Well, I hope Sarah Palin will remember
You can’t see Russia; it’s a little far

Sweet Home Alaska
Where the ground’s still covered in snow
Sweet Home Alaska
Darkness is all we’ll ever know

In Wasilla they love the Ex Governor
She coaches hockey like ya do
Now the Bridge to Nowhere does not bother me
Does the traffic on the Glenn bother you?
Tell the truth.

Sweet Home Alaska
Hiker hackers on the loose
Sweet Home Alaska
Cops only care if you hit a moose

Now Girdwood has got the hippies
They’ve been known to smoke a joint or two
Lord they give you such a contact buzz
It’ll pick you up if you’re feeling blue
You’ll have the munchies too!

Sweet Home Alaska
Salmon updates on the radio
Sweet Home Alaska
Iditarod restart in Willow

Sweet Home Alaska
Where fifty degrees will make you cry
No, that’s not a lie.
Sweet Home Alaska

Get me out of here.
